gorgeous wreaths, for a truly gorgeous hotel...

The door wreaths are up, and looking splendid. The Christmas trees are filling up reception, lit and beautifully decorated, and it looks amazing as you enter the cozy reception area.

Our hand made wreaths are finished with Nobilis pine, faux berry, oranges, cinnamon and of course some locally sourced pheasant feathers to finish it off.

something for the Christmas table...

We have gone traditional this year, lots of seasonal berry, velvet red roses, and gorgeous seasonal foliages. Our table centrepeices are now in the shop for those wishing to order and collect a day or two before Christmas. All shapes and sizes and the colour of your choice - what could be simpler...

a beautiful autumnal day...

whilst sitting in my lovely little flower shop, looking out of the window with the sun streaming in, and the leaves on the old oak tree turning orange, it gives some inspiration as to how many beautiful colours are around in the flowers this time of year. beautiful bronze blooms, burnt oranges, dark reds and some great varieties of berry that are now available.

Naughty Becky

Becky and her mother, Karen, were a delight to work for, and again another favourite on the list for this year's weddings. Becky was a bundle of fun, and overjoyed when we arrived with the bridal flowers on Saturday morning. She had many flower arrangements for the marquee tables, and when finished, it was a mass of flowers of ivory, pale yellow and zesty greens.

The top table, an elegant mix of silver candelabra and silver bowls filled with hydrangea, rose, gyp, blooms and seasonal foliage's

The other guest tables had a nice mix of simple jars and silver bowls, using dill, freesia and roses

A very hectic week, but what a joy to see happy faces and naughty Becky
shouting  "I love it, I love it, I love it"

Best wishes to Becky and James

weddings from last week

A very busy week with weddings last week, and some very happy customers (well I think that's why the mothers cried at me)!

After the celebrity wedding of Dermot O'Leary at Chiddingstone Castle, the pressure was on. Laura chose vintage pinks, creams, and green shades for her flowers.

St Paul's church was full to bursting with some lovely large pew ends using hydrangea, gyp, roses and seasonal foliage's. Here they are ready to be placed on the pew's at the church.

Laura chose a beautiful hand tied bouquet of vintage pink hydrangea, roses, amnesia rose and white bouvardia, finished with heavy ivory ribbon and pearl pin fastening.

The girls posies were similar but more emphasis on the ivory shades. The colours were dreamily soft...

Autumnal shades...

I wouldn't normally post a picture of a sympathy tribute, but this was an exception and the finished article was gorgeous. The brief was autumnal rich colours and that's what we chose. Darkest bronze blooms, rich dark foliage's, red roses, burnt orange antirrhinum, softly scented Apple Tea carnations, and trailing amaranthus in darkest red with rosemary foliage to finish it off.

a village wedding

Yesterdays wedding was one of the loveliest we have ever done. Amy and David married at St Marys church, Speldhurst and had a wedding reception at Amy's family home, also in Speldhurst.

Mrs Collins was a delight to work for and she worked extremely hard on the beautiful setting of the marquee.

The church lychgate was filled with white hydrangea blooms, open white and pink roses, seasonal snowberry in shades of pink and white, with hanging green amaranthus, scented stocks and white agapanthus. Eucalpytus and ivy foliage made the base of the design.

The arch flowered up on Saturday morning. Incredible amount of interest from all passing traffic, lots of lovely comments, thank you to everyone!

the marquee beauitfully decorate with extravagent floor standing mirrors and the pew ends from the church were hung on the marquee lining. The whole room looked so lovely.

simple and pretty table centrepices with snowberry, hydrangea, gyp, roses and viburnham flowering foliage - simple and very pretty.

What a wonderful wedding it was, and a real pleasure to work for the Collins family. We wish Amy and David a very happy time together.

wedding flowers from last week

A couple of pictures of last weeks bridal bouquets.

a few sparkles, very subtle, placed within the posies. They looked so pretty with the waxflower, akito rose and freesia. A beautifully scented bouquet.

delicate sprays of spray rose, waxflower and freesia - lovely corsages for the females

catching up...

Well it's been a while so we have lots to catch up on. But first a question: "do you like carnation". The general consensus is an absolute no! but perhaps re-consider after you have seen these beauties. They are called Apple Tea and are THE most delicate shade of very pale peach and even have a very delicate scent. I love them, and they are a truly beautiful new addition to our flower range.

bright posies for todays wedding

Striking colours of fuchsia pink and purple. The bridesmaid's posies were a vibrant mix of spray rose, lisianthus, and stock. Ribbons were generously used to finish the posies.

The bridal bouquet was a more classic and elegant hand tied bouquet, with a longer shape to the design using white roses, freesia, spray rose, lisianthus and delicate foliage. Again lots of detailing on the finished ribbons.

Cute little urns and pots

These little cuties are perfect for adding a bit of colour to the table. Sweet little posies in the most gorgeous minature urns and antique silver pots.

wadhurst castle wedding

last week saw us at Wadhurst Castle - just beautiful. The colour palette was peaches and pale greens - so fresh for the table centrepieces.

the orangery looked just stunning, with the sun shining through all the amazing plants and ferns
