A teardrop bouquet of memory lane rose, subtle pearl beading threaded withint he design and vintage pink hellebore - I found the bride walking around with it on Sunday morning at the hotel... I think she quite liked it!

a day at the castle

What a glorious morning to be heading over to Chiddingstone Castle. The sun was shining, even though a bit chilly standing outside this wonderful place. The event was for a lovely lady who was have a wedding anniversary lunch in the Great Hall. The fireplaces in both the White Rose Room and Great Hall were adorned with scented lilac, stock and roses, and trailing ivy and scented eucalpytus just filled the room with the most wonderful scents.

The table centres were clear glass vases topped with similar flowers which looked stunning

thank you Claire for your very kind words, and so delighted your day went so well!

a fabulous idea

We visited the Earls Court Trade Fair back in January and came across a brilliant company who offer an ECO range made from a variaty of recycled consumer goods, such as vending machine coffee cups, yoghurt pots and fridge door interiors (plus the pots from our plants and bulbs that are piling up in the garden)

and their range includes everything for the garden including clocks, bird feeders and garden chalk boards. We hope to stock more of their products very soon

They have come up with a fantastic range of products and we have some gorgeous plant labels for
sale in the shop. They make ideal gifts for the keen gardener and are a super innovative product.

victorian terracotta

We were lucky enough to stumble across a supply of the original Sankey victorian pots. They make perfect little arrangements and look so gorgeous. A couple of these on the table look great for a sunday lunch, when the flowers are finished, plant up your summer seeds

a scented bouquet...

a beautifully scented bouquet from last week. The tuba rosa and freesia had the most heady scent and the colours were the softest shades of ivory and cream.

a pair of shoes

so this nice lady came into the shop today selling shoes - not the high heeled variety, nor the sequinned pumps for summer shopping days. but some gorgeous vintage shoe lasts from one of the finest shoe factories in northamptonshire. They have been given a quirky new life (they were going to landfill as they have metal inside the shoe!!!!) - in fact they are amazing. And the best thing of all, we now have "that perfect give for a man".

so for all those out there looking for a new style of coat hook for the boot room, look no further

we have a small selection in the shop, single coat hooks, and also some fabulous bookends... now then, where am i going to hang them.....

lilac

This is truly one of my favourites. Purest whist lilac, stems just on their own are truly beautiful! shame the season is not longer
